My Teen, Sincerely, Joe Gabriele
All About Driving has recently begun promoting My Teen L.L.C. Thank you, Michele Montagano
Dear Les, As a forty year State Farm Agent, I personally think your “bumper sticker” for teenage drivers is a great idea. Teenage drivers as a group, have the necessary reflects, eyesight, and coordination for driving. They cannot however buy experience. Youth drivers all believe that “they are invincible”, which is a major problem. As an agent representing State Farm we have had very few years that we make money on insurance for youthful drivers. The stickers on bumpers of cars would make teenagers aware that they were being watched. That’s a good thing for every driver. Once a teenager has a license, they don’t want to lose it. They sticker will help everyone to be a better driver. If the sticker saves one life, it’s good. If the sticker saves parents one serious accident, it’s good. Yours truly, Robert J. Ross, Agent
To Whom It May Concern: Your new business venture is long overdue. You should feel really great about your efforts. What I have appreciated mostly about your company is your commitment to the family. It really seems like the “bottom line” of your business is measured in lives saved and families helped rather than memberships issued. My wife and I have seven children. We have even explained and reviewed MY TEEN with our children, and they are “sold” on the idea. It’s funny the even a child can understand the importance of monitoring during the formative years…why is it that so many adults just don’t seem to “get it”? I will admit…I act differently when we know somebody is watching! Well, I have the feeling that many people will be watching MY TEEN explode into a powerful program, or tool, to help parents better protect their teen drivers. I am thrilled to know that you are out there on the front lines fighting this battle for us! It is important that the MY TEEN organization be utilized by schools, insurance companies, and perhaps even local governments to assist in protecting our children. “As for me and my house,” we are in! Thank you for your continued efforts in promoting this program. As with anything that “catches” the attention of the general public, it will take a school district, an insurance company, or perhaps even a local or state government to take action…to join forces. I hope that someone will have the conviction to join with you in this effort. Keep up the great work! Respectfully, Mark L. Bartlett
